Handgun I is the NRA basic pistol (Concealed Carry) course and is 80% classroom time with formal instruction and real-world handgun principles. Students will be taught: firearms safety, stance, grip, sight alignment and sight picture, trigger control, breaking down and reassembling firearms as well as proper cleaning procedures. Choosing a handgun, holster and carry options are also discussed.
Handgun II is an intense course with dynamic “real life” scenario based training that is 90% range time.
Handgun II will address malfunction clearance, shooting on the move, one-handed shooting techniques, alternate shooting positions, the draw, reloads, multiple targets, and timed drills, concealed carry considerations and use of lethal force.
The courses will vary depending on the skill set of the class and evaluations of the students. Handgun I & II are each $75.00 per person, per class. Sign up today
