STAGE II FIRE RESTRICTIONS FOR MINERAL COUNTY +

FIRE SEASON NEWS for Mineral County:  STAGE II FIRE RESTRICTIONS are now in effect on private and Lolo National Forest lands inside Mineral County (outside City Limits). Stage II means NO outdoor burning or campfires!  No smoking except in designated areas, and No Use of Internal Combustion Engines between 1 pm and 1 am with a 2-hour patrol when logging operations cease. No woodstoves ! Exception for BBQs and devices powered by LPG that can be turned on and off.

 

STAGE II FIRE RESTRICTIONS  have been put into place on private and national forest lands inside Mineral County (outside city limits). Stage II means NO outdoor burning or campfires anywhere!  No smoking is allowed, except in designated areas, and there is absolutely No Use of Internal Combustion Engines between 1 pm and 1 am with a 2-hour patrol after that use in that time. 

There is the exception of LPG or propane stoves, which have an On / Off lever.  However, they can only be used in an area cleared of all flammage material within three feet of the BBQ or stove.  NOTE: No woodstoves !

Sanders County also went into Stage II on August 21st.  Other Counties with Stage II Restrictions in western Montana include Flathead, Lake and Lincoln counties. Those restrictions went into place at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.
