OPENING DAY POSTPONED ! Lookout was originally scheduled to open Friday, November 28th. News release announces postponement to Saturday, November 29th at the Lookout Ski Area on Interstate 90 at the Montana/Idaho state line. Officials report:
"The majority of the front side of the mountain will be open with top to bottom skiing and riding off Chair #1. The beginner triple chairlift, Chair #4, will also operate. Lodge and rental shop open at 8:00 AM. Lifts operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST. Ski School ski, snowboard, and telemark lessons are offered every day we are open starting at 9:00 AM."
RELEASE 11/28: We are postponing our opening day to Saturday, November 29th. Snow and colder temperatures are in the forecast for tonight through Saturday. Should that forecast hold true, we should have very good conditions for the weekend.
Reduced ticket rates will be in effect and will be announced later this week, as more terrain openings are probable.
We’ll operate Saturday and Sunday this week. Then reopen on Thursday, December 4 and resume our regular December operations, Thursdays through Mondays.
During Christmas vacation break, we’re open 7 days a week from December 18 through January 4.
