MOST EXCELLENT HISTORIC BIKE TRAIL ~ Hiawatha Season Opens

ROUTE OF THE HIAWATHA will be OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK STARTING MAY 23rd.  Isn't that good news for friends and family of all ages !

The Route of the Hiawatha, The "Crown Jewel" of rail-to-trail bicycle adventures, has been described as one of the most scenic stretches of railroad in the country. The 1.66 mile long St. Paul Pass Tunnel is a highlight of the 15 mile trail that includes a total of 9 train tunnels and 7 sky high trestles. The best part is... It's all downhill with shuttle buses available to take you and your and your bike back to the top. Go to Lookout Pass Ski Area, located along Interstate 90 at the Idaho/Montana state line, for trail and shuttle tickets plus bike rentals and picnic lunches. The trail is open this weekend, May 16 & 17, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM PDT. Starting May 23, the Hiawatha will operate daily through September 27.
