--Speaker George Bailey, Director of Business Development, Mineral Community Hospital, spoke about the proposed Two Rivers Medical Complex, which could potentially hold offices for several national medically-related organizations, who have expressed interest in opening offices in this area. This would result in many new high-paying jobs for our area. George also asked the Chamber's support of the expansion of Medicaid in the state, to better support our county's residents and clinics in preventive health care. Chamber voted to support the measure.

--Business Directory: finished and arrangements will be made to send it to publisher Target Media.

--Chamber Office: Chamber budget was presented at this time, as the Chamber office is the biggest expense. Chamber's "roommate", Superior Technical Assistance Committee (STAC) will be applying for more federal funds to continue its work in the Chamber office and share office expenses. Until then, Chamber will be paying double for many of the expenses (see attached budget). Chamber approved the larger budget, to keep the office open as long as there are adequate funds. Buffy Kelly has moved her insurance business into the front office. Office staffing was also discussed, as more volunteers are needed to keep the office open consistently, especially in the summer months.
