Highlights of last week's Chamber meeting, held at Chamber Office in Superior. --Minutes & Treasurer's report approved
--Speaker, Mary Holmes, Sales Marketing Director from Destination Missoula, Official Convention & Visitor's Bureau, promoting Missoula and surrounding communities. Mineral County Chamber is a partner of Destination Missoula, having reciprocal membership with them, and Mary spoke of the benefits we have as a partner. Benefits include posting events on their website, distribute flyers to their office for posting, access their photo library.
--Travel Expo, May 25 - Sponsored by Destination Missoula, Mineral County Chamber will again participate, along with other non-profit organizations.
--Alberton Railroad Day, July 20 - Chamber will co-sponsor this event.
--Business Directory - has gone to press
--Chamber Office - continues to be staffed by volunteers, hours are Mon-Wed-Fri 1-3 p.m. Mary Jo is handling meetings, workshops, etc. being held in Chamber office.
--Chamber Golf Tournament, June 15 - publicity will start next week and teams, sponsors will be solicited, dinner fare will be prime rib.
--Car Show, June 1 - trophies (made by high school students) were displayed, a poker walk to the businesses will be included in activities.
--Airport Open House (& Fly-In), - August 24 - antique car show to be included
--Trail Rail Run, June 22 - volunteers & donations are being solicited for serving & providing side dishes to runners at the end of the race.
--Non-Profit Expo, May 3 & 4 - workshops, speakers, helpful information for non-profit groups & volunteers, St. Regis Community Center
--Candidate Forums for hospital board candidates - April 30, May 1, & May 3
